This painting sold for $8 million and everyday investors profited
When the painting by master Claude Monet (you may have heard of him) was bought for $6.8 million and sold for a cool $8 million just 631 days later, investors in shares of the offering received their share of the net proceeds.Β
All thanks to Masterworks, the award-winning platform for investing in blue-chip art. To date, every one of Masterworksβ 16 sales out of its portfolio has returned a profit to investors. With 3 recent sales, investors realized net annualized returns of 17.6%, 21.5% and 35%.
How does it work? Simple, Masterworks files each offering with the SEC so that nearly anyone can invest in highly coveted artworks for just a fraction of the price of the entire piece.Β

π€ 3 Mistakes Made By Retail Traders
In this section, we will explore the top four mistakes often made by retail traders, highlighting how institutional traders excel in avoiding these pitfalls.
Inadequate Risk Management:
Stop calling everything a lotto. You must take small losses to grow your account. Small accounts should only let things go to 0 or trade lottos if they have made a significant gain on the week.
Emotion-Driven Decision-Making:
Retail traders often make emotional decisions, which can be detrimental. The ups and downs of the market can cause impulsive actions like panic selling or chasing gains. Always expect 0. If you enter a trade with the expectation to see it go to 0, you will never be caught off guard.
Overlooking the wholistic view of the market:
Retail traders may lean heavily towards technical analysis, potentially overlooking comprehensive market analysis. Integrate technical and fundamental analysis to form a holistic view of market dynamics.

FOMC thoughts:
What will be important this FOMC is that the feds continue to stand firm on their goal to cut interest rates. Due to many stocks like AMZN looking ready to break new highs along with NVDA, I assume that even if the cutting date were pushed from March to July, dips would be bought.
Longer-term view:
As we have traded above 4700, 4800, and now 4900, I will watch what develops as we get closer to an official rate cut announcement. The majority will be bullish, but if the first reaction is very bullish, it wouldnβt surprise me for the market to sell the news a few days later.
